Beaminster — May 2nd 2017

This month at Beaminster was Show and Tell - people were invited to show their favourite or most useful apps for iPad and/or iPhone and the response was heartening as, apart from Michael, 5 other people stepped up to the projector. We saw a range of apps -among them a map app that shows footpaths, a public transport app that gives details of transport options (down to the bus-stop and any walking time) for journeys between points in Great Britain, one app specially for travelling dog-owners, and another showing good pubs, a fascinating app giving the geological make-up of Great Britain, and a really useful emergency app that will, on tapping the button, call the emergency services and give them your national grid location, an app that will get you amazing discounts , particularly on meals, another which will show you, in detail what plane is passing overhead, its’ destination and its’ route, and then there were a couple of infuriatingly addictive games.

All in all a good evening!
