Bournemouth — Jan 15th 2008

Members braved the wind and rain to join us at our first meeting at Solutions Inc. in 2008. Michael our usual host was away on the other side of the world so the meeting was hosted by Lionel.

The meeting began with Sebastian from Solutions who gave us a demonstration of iPhoto 08. This caused a lot of interest, particularly from those of us not yet using this latest version; enough I think to tempt us to upgrade in the near future. But those who had already installed it also found help with tips on how to get the best from the program.

Following this, continuing the photographic theme, one of our members, Roy, gave us a presentation of his own photographs with musical accompaniment.

We then had a break for coffee or tea with the compliments of Solutions during which a few experiences were shared and then we continued with our customary hints, tips and problem solving session.

As we were leaving Bobby, the manager showed us some preview photos of the newly announced MacBook Air; the super-slim, ultra portable addition to the Mac Book family. We look forward to a demo of the real thing on our next visit to Bournemouth in February.

Our thanks to those who made our meeting a success and sympathies to our members who were prevented from coming due to illness.
