Two excellent presentation from our members at todays meeting, where time seemed to fly by... and the halls wireless internet connection worked first time! Easy internet access for us all.

We started off with a general chat about email, the various problems and potential security risks such as Google mail keeping copies of all emails sent, which generated quite a lot of discussion. Derek Wright then gave the first presentation on using Apple's Aperture photo application comparing it to Adobe Photoshop. Derek went on to show us his work flow and how he makes best use of it's facilities.

We stopped for Coffee & Doughnuts and general chit chat before moving onto Alan Lewer's presentation on slide scanning. Alan showed us his detailed process of selecting the hardware and software which he went through before going onto demonstrating the various scans he had made.

A very interesting and informative meeting on digital imaging which I'm sure inspired and helped others. We'll choose a different subject area for the next meeting, but Derek has already offered to talk us through some of his other work flows.

Thanks to all that attended.
